NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The first weekend of summer in New York will be wet and humid, with potentially heavy storms popping up Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the city marks Pride with a host of events.

While rain is expected throughout the weekend, none of the days are expected to be total washouts, with showers coming and going, according to AccuWeather.

Friday will be dreary, cloudy and sticky with rounds of rain and rumbles of thunder moving through in the afternoon, evening and overnight. It's humid with a high of 76 degrees and low of 68.

It's expected to be even stormier on Saturday with downpours and even a thunderstorm. Any rain could lead to localized flooding. The high will near 80 as conditions remain humid.

Sunday should be less stormy, but plan for a couple of showers and a thunderstorm if you're heading to the Pride March or other festivities. It's otherwise partly sunny as highs top 80. RealFeel temps will be over 90 in the afternoon when the sun is out.

Fans attending this weekend's Yankees–Rangers games in the Bronx should plan for unsettled weather. The Mets are away until Monday.

Looking ahead to next week, Monday will be warm and sticky with some sunny breaks. The storm threat returns in the afternoon, when there's a possibility of gusty winds, hail and downpours. The high will be about 81.

The chance of showers and storms continues through much of the work week, but the turbulent weather should clear out a very nice weekend.
