NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Wind Advisory was issued for New York City and surrounding suburbs on Friday as gusts could top 50 mph.
The Wind Advisory is in effect for the city until 6 a.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service also issued a High Wind Warning for much of New Jersey until early Saturday.
Winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected. An isolated gust to 60 mph is possible.
It will become cloudier and very windy throughout the day Friday with a shower or two possible in the afternoon. Downpours could mix with small hail, according to AccuWeather. The high will be 69.
The windy weather continues Friday night as skies turn mainly clear. The low will be 43 in the city and in the upper 30s in some inland suburbs, where RealFeels may fall into the 20s.
Saturday is mostly sunny with a cool breeze. High 65.
Sunday is warmer with sun and clouds. High 76.
Showers return Monday, when the high will be 72.
