NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A wintry mix of sleet and rain falling on New York City is expected to taper off by Tuesday evening.
Temperatures will hover around 35 in the city throughout the day, and roads and sidewalks will be slippery and wet as the sleet and rain falls, according to AccuWeather.

The city should only get a coating to an inch of snow accumulation, but the more distant inland suburbs could see 1 to 3 inches of snow.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the city until midnight on Tuesday.
Wednesday is expected to be cloudy and chilly, with occasional flurries and a high of 39 degrees.
