NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880) – A woman crashed into a trooper's car and another vehicle while trying to flee after allegedly stealing from an Orange County store, New York State Police said.
Analda Robertson, 36, from Mount Vernon, at around 10 a.m. allegedly stole over $1,100 worth of items from a Price Chopper store in the Wallkill area, according to police.
Cops received a call about an individual who left the store with a cart full of items without paying.
Shortly after, Robertson was seen allegedly putting the items into a 2008 Volvo and driving away.
A trooper saw Robertson's car and initiated a traffic stop which Robertson did not obey.
Robertson then attempted to escape the trooper and drove off.
While the trooper chased down Robertson, she hit the trooper's car and an uninvolved vehicle.
She was stopped a short time later on Blumel Road and arrested.
Troopers found the stolen items inside of her car.
Robertson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal mischief, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, petit larceny, fleeing a police in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.
She was also issued 80 traffic tickets.
The bail was set at $500 cash, $1,000 bond, or $2,000 secured bond.
She will be back at court on Jan. 24.
