Bill Belichick is still out there for the taking, and Evan wonders if Giants fans are worried about one of the best ever taking a job with one of their hated rivals.
With Mike McCarthy of the Cowboys and Nick Sirianni of the Eagles seen as potential firing casualties after their respective playoff collapses, could Belichick coach in the NFC East against the Giants, a team he has openly cherished since leaving decades ago?
Evan believes Giants fans should be very worried if Belichick wound up in Philly.
“I do think if he chose, ‘where could I go and win the most?’ I think my answer would be the Eagles,” Evan said. “Howie Roseman has done a great job the last few years, they always build consistently good rosters, he has a good, young quarterback in Jalen Hurts.
“If I’m Bill, and my goal is a championship and racking up as many wins as I can, because I want to have the most wins in the history of the sport, to me it’s Philadelphia. And if I’m a Giant fan, that would scare the crap out of me.”
