Soto’s a Yankee, Ohtani’s a Dodger, and several other free agents, difference-makers and depth alike, are signed – but the biggest fish left is Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Japanese righty has met with several teams, and he’s also made some things known on Instagram, too.

“Yamamoto started following Mookie Betts and Bobby Miller of the Dodgers yesterday, but a listener reached out to say he’s also following Aaron Judge and CC Sabathia, and Kodai Senga, too,” Gio said Friday. “And Tanaka, who I’d guess he’s following no matter what, but no other Mets.”

He has until his posting period runs out on Jan. 4 to officially sign, but Boomer thinks “it has to be sometime in the next week,” and Gio agrees.

“Yes, I do; for Ohtani it was a week ago, so you’d think so or hope so,” Gio said. “The last thing I saw is he’s met with everybody who is in on him, although there may be a second set of meetings.”

“I was watching a couple of his workouts, and he has this whipping sound when he’s pitching,” Boomer said. “You wonder how long that arm is going to last.”

That said, Gio still thinks it’s north of $300 million to get him…will that be New York?
