Brandon Tierney: Mets having a Max Scherzer tribute 'pathetic' and 'a microcosm of soft society'

We’d say ‘tell us how you really feel,’ but it’s clear with Brandon Tierney: he thinks the Mets having a tribute video for Max Scherzer last night is ‘pathetic.’

“Whose stupid idea was it to bust out video montages for guys who have been here for basically a week?” BT asked Tuesday. “What are we doing? Max Scherzer? Come on. Would you please stop this? It’s pathetic.”

Besides the fact it was “a tribute for the guy who was allegedly one of the main problems in the clubhouse,” Brandon thinks this is, sadly, ‘a microcosm of society.’

“It’s really a reflection and a microcosm of the softness that has permeated our society,” BT said. “Here’s a trophy for you, a montage for you…oh, you hit .212? Here’s a video tribute to you. Are you kidding me? A tribute for the guy who was reportedly, allegedly, one of the main problems in the clubhouse? Yeah, let's put out some video honoring his amazing run with the New York Mets. It’s utterly predictable, and it is pathetic.”
