(670 The Score) Bulls star guard Zach LaVine has a small ligament tear in the thumb of his non-shooting hand, Shams Charania of the Athletic reported Wednesday.
LaVine's intention is to play through the injury. He underwent an MRI on the thumb Tuesday, which revealed the damage, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported.
LaVine is averaging 25.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the Bulls' 4-0 start. He's shooting 50% from the field and 44.4% on 3-pointers.
The Bulls host the Knicks on Thursday at the United Center.
