With recent reports indicating that the Rangers may be done with their offseason spending, Jordan Montgomery is still out there for the taking.
C-Mac is now begging the Mets to go out and sign the lefty, who he says is reliable, familiar with New York, and proven on the big stage after his playoff heroics with Texas last year.
"I am going to make a plea: I know many of you think I'm a Met hater apparently…but Steve Cohen and the Mets need to go out and sign Jordan Montgomery," C-Mac said. "I would say the Yankees should do it, but I just don't see a reunion…this guy does not hurt your timeline of getting better. He is young, he is a big, thick, durable guy, who I don't see injuries being a problem. He doesn't live and rely on a 99 mph fastball. He's been terrific. He's figured something out.
"It just makes too much sense. It's unbelievable he's unsigned."
