Daniel Jones' in-game speed has his teammate comparing him to Lamar Jackson

Heading into the 2020 NFL season, amid a ton of uncertainty regarding the status of the game, one thing was glaringly apparent: Daniel Jones had not skipped leg day.

Those are, like, Saquon-level quads. And apparently, all the effort has paid off, as Jones is ripping off some truly impressive runs this season, one of which fueled his Giants to a slightly lucky victory over the Washington Football Team in Week 6.

Yea... he ran so fast that even the cameraman had trouble following him.

Okay, so that may not have been the reason as to why 20 yards of Jones' scamper were out of our view, but the second-year signal-caller did reach a really fast speed on the run, among the highest of any quarterbacks this season. According to Next Gen Stats, his 20.64-mph speed was the fastest he had run to this point in his career and added on to his impressive displays of athleticism so far in 2020. In fact, Jones has three of the top seven speeds recorded by a quarterback through six weeks (h/t Jordan Raanan).

The other four speeds don't come from a particularly surprising source, as 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson is more dangerous than anyone in the league with his legs. He ripped off a long run in Week 6, as well, torching the Eagles on a touchdown scamper.

Still, three of the top seven QB speeds is nothing to just shrug off. Jones' teammate and favorite wide receiver target, Darius Slayton, made sure to give him kudos after the game.

Jackson has 14 rushes of 10-plus yards on the season, while Jones only has half of that amount. However, we can see the basis of the comparison, however half-jokingly it was made, and we're impressed regardless of the stats.

Jones will aim to replicate Jackson's touchdown play against the Eagles when the Giants come to Philly and face off with their division rivals in Week 7.
