Evan is “sad” and “depressed” to open Thursday’s show with this news bulletin:
“The New York Knicks know what they’re doing,” Evan reluctantly announced. “They really, really know what they’re doing.”
Evan has enjoyed Knicks futility for decades, but as Leon Rose swings a trade for Bojan Bogdanovich and Alec Burks while once again not having to sacrifice any first-round draft picks, he has to admit that the team he despises is running like a team that got better in the present, and can still get better in the future.
“I’m the head of the coalition of Knicks haters, and for many years as the head of that coalition, I got to enjoy days like today,” Evan said. “I got to enjoy many years of laughing at the Knicks.
“If you tweet or say ‘LOL Knicks,’ you’re ignorant. Because there is nothing to laugh at anymore. This franchise knows what it’s doing. The Knicks today, without giving up very much, just improved themselves…the New York Knicks are run by a team president who, while he never speaks to us, knows what he’s doing.”
