Giants hosting Jameis Winston for visit as quarterback search continues: Report

The Giants are reportedly hosting another veteran quarterback for a visit as they continue to wait on Aaron Rodgers’ decision.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, New York will welcome in Jameis Winston on Tuesday, adding to the list of available quarterbacks still available on the free agent market. So far, Big Blue has held visits with Russell Wilson and Joe Flacco, and Winston will be the third.

Winston has played 10 NFL seasons so far, and has made 87 starts in that time. He led the league in passing yards back in 2019 with Tampa Bay, and made seven starts with the lowly Browns last year, going 2-5 with a 61.1 percent completion percentage, throwing 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

For his career, Winston has 154 touchdown passes against 111 picks.

Rodgers seems to be the top choice for New York after losing out on Matthew Stafford, but the future Hall of Famer continues to weight all options that include the Steelers and Vikings. Clearly, the Giants will be bringing in a veteran to start for them in 2025, and it could be Winston, Wilson, Rodgers, or even Flacco.
