Islanders 'Will not allow any player in our organization participate unless they are vaccinated'

Islanders president and general manager Lou Lamoriello told reporters on Tuesday that the team is 100 percent vaccinated for COVID-19, and the franchise is clearly set on keeping it that way.

Lamoriello made it known that the team is taking vaccinations seriously, and if a player isn't vaccinated, they won't be playing for the home team on Long Island next season.

"We will not allow any player in our organization participate unless they are vaccinated," Lamoriello said ahead of New York's training camp.

Lamoriello added that one of the organization's minor league players refused to get the vaccine, and that player won't be playing for the team in the upcoming season.

As for those that will be a part of the team, Lamoriello said that captain Anders Lee, who tore his ACL last season, is clear to start training camp, as is JG Pageau, who underwent hand surgery back in June.
