Robert Saleh told reporters that Elijah Moore will not be playing in Sunday’s game against the Broncos after his reported trade request, but there are no plans to honor that request and send the sophomore receiver out of New York.
Joe Benigno says Moore’s request should be met, and immediately.
“Get rid of him,” Joe B said during Saturday’s show. “He would have been gone already…who is this guy to be demanding a trade? If I’m Joe Douglas, get him out of here.
“This team is rolling, we got a real football team here…get rid of him. There are a million teams in this league that need wide receivers. You could get no worse, at least a third-round pick for this guy.”
Moore was not a part of the Jets offensive game plan in a win over the Packers last week, and the former second-round pick clearly isn’t happy with his usage in what has been a surprising 4-2 start for Gang Green. Joe doesn’t want any of those good vibes, disrupted, and would rather just be rid of Moore.
“Just like Jamal Adams, don’t let the door hit you in the rear end.”
