Keith: Knicks have no shot to make Eastern Conference Final without Julius Randle
Julius Randle is done for the season after the Knicks announced that their All-Star would undergo shoulder surgery, and Keith says that seals New York's fate of not having a deep playoff run in 2024.
"I said Knicks fans celebrate too early because they haven't had much to celebrate," Keith said. "January, it was Eastern Conference Finals, NBA Finals. 'Knicks are dudes and dawgs, and doing damaged.' Now they're damaged. They're not winning anything without Julius Randle.
"They can't win the Eastern Conference Final, or even get there, without Julius Randle. Tell yourself whatever you want about Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo, or OG Anunoby coming back…if you watch the NBA, you know Joel Embiid just came back. You know Giannis is over there. you know what Tatum and Kristaps and those guys are gonna do. We can run through the superstars and teams that are gonna get closer to the Finals than Jalen Brunson."
