The NBA Draft is just days away, and the Knicks are reportedly discussing a big push for a higher pick that can land them Jaden Ivey.
According to SNY’s Ian Begley, New York has talked with the Kings for the No. 4 overall pick, and “have talked about offering multiple first-round picks in a package” for that fourth pick, but it “wasn’t enough to lock a deal in.”
If that’s the case, the rebuilding Sacramento squad could be also looking for young NBA players like Immanuel Quickley, Quentin Grimes, or Obi Toppin.
The Knicks, per Begley, are confident that they would be able to get Ivey at No. 4, but not at No. 11. They would have to sacrifice that 11th pick, another first rounder, and more, to get such a deal done.
Begley also reported the Knicks have "touched base" with Detroit about the No. 5 pick, with Cam Reddish's name coming up in the conversation, as the former No. 10 overall pick "would fit Detroit's timeline."
