The Knicks and Jazz have reportedly not spoken for a while about a potential Donovan Mitchell trade, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
"As of right now, sources tell me that talks between the Jazz and the Knicks around a Donovan Mitchell trade have stalled out," Charania said. "I'm told there hasn't been contact between the two sides in two weeks. Things can always be fluid, but these are where things stand right now.

"I'm told the Jazz are continuing conversations with other teams that are interested in Mitchell, teams like Charlotte and Washington."
The Knicks and Jazz have been linked for weeks, since it was reported that Utah would field trade offers regarding Mitchell. Reports followed of the Jazz asking for massive trade packages in return, including multiple draft picks, Quentin Grimes, Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin, and Miles McBride. The Knicks could be holding out until closer to the season in hopes that the asking price will come down, but despite the lack of talks, New York is still reportedly seen as the top suitor for Mitchell.
"Overall, throughout this entire process, the Knicks have been the focus around the league, including the Jazz, for a Donovan Mitchell trade, because they have eight first-round draft picks at their disposal," Charania said. "They have a couple young players like Quentin Grimes and Obi Toppin that could be of interest in a trade for Donovan Mitchell."
