Matt Martin got Nassau Coliseum rocking on Saturday night by giving the Islanders a 3-0 lead in game four, and his goal also ignited a raucous celebration at the Esiason wedding reception hundreds of miles away in New England.

Martin, Boomer Esiason’s son-in-law, had a good excuse not to be at the wedding of Gunnar Esiason and his new wife Darcy, but he was there in spirit, cardboard spirit to be exact, as his wife and Boomer’s daughter Sydney posted a video of herself dancing with a cardboard cutout of Martin at the reception, with family and friends going crazy in celebration all around her.

Martin wasn’t at the wedding in person, but his seventh postseason goal seems like a solid wedding gift.
