The busy Nets continued their quietly strong offseason with another free agent signing on Wednesday morning.

The headliner was the reported signing of Moe Wagner, who, according to multiple reports, is heading to Brooklyn on a two-year, $19 million deal, which includes a mutual second-year option. It is the latest Nets move where the team has acquired veterans that can help the team now, but also represent attractive trade chips given the nature of their contracts if Brooklyn is not in contention for a playoff spot by the trade deadline.

Wagner's agreement comes after the team signed Keon Ellis to a two-year, $18 million deal, bringing in a 26-year-old who hopes to bring some much-needed shooting to the Nets offense.

Wagner, 29, is a former first-round draft pick by the Lakers who has spent the past five-plus seasons with the Magic. The center averaged 6.9 points in 11.9 minutes per game last season, playing in just 36 games. He has appeared in just 66 games over the past two seasons combined due to a torn ACL suffered in 2024.

Wagner has shot 51.8 percent from the field across his eight-year career.

With Julius Randle in the fold along with Ellis and Wagner, in addition to drafting Mikel Brown Jr. with the sixth overall pick, Brooklyn figures to be a much more competitive team in the upcoming season.
