The Nets are slated to visit the Lakers on Christmas, and if that game happens, it will be their first time on the floor in a week.
After Sunday’s and Tuesday’s games were postponed, the NBA announced Wednesday morning that Brooklyn’s Thursday night matchup against the Trail Blazers has also been postponed, with a makeup date to be announced.

The Nets have had as many as 10 players in the league’s health and safety protocols at a time in the past week, including Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, who was announced to be returning to the team in a part time capacity to help the team’s depleted roster. Instead, he fell into COVID-19 protocol almost immediately.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN on Tuesday that there are contingency plans in place in case Christmas Day games need to be postponed or changed, but there are no plans to postpone the season altogether, even as COVID cases surge across professional sports. Silver said the new omicron variant of the virus accounts for nearly 90 percent of the league’s new cases.
