UPDATE: The Knicks announced that Toppin's injury is a non-displaced fracture in his right fibula head, and he will be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks.

The Knicks will reportedly be without Obi Toppin for the next few weeks.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the former eighth overall pick will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks after undergoing imaging on his knee on Wednesday. Toppin left Tuesday’s win against the Hawks with knee soreness and did not return.

Toppin, 24, had been struggling of late, but was equaling his workload from last season while shooting 35.1 percent from downtown, a noted improvement from last season. He is averaging 7.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 42.1 percent from the field.

The injury to Toppin now leaves Tom Thibodeau with a decision to make, as he had recently gone down to a nine-man rotation after bouncing Cam Reddish, Derrick Rose, and Evan Fournier from the mix. But someone will likely have to come back into the fold, likely Reddish given his size, as an eight-man rotation would lead to some tired legs coming down the stretch of games moving forward.
