WATCH: Did Igor Shesterkin troll some Hurricanes fans before leaving ice after game seven win?

After sending the Hurricanes home for the summer with a legendary 37-save performance in game seven, Igor Shesterkin appeared to rub it in the faces of a few angry Hurricanes fans after the Rangers finished off a 6-2 victory on Monday night.

After the classic end-of-series handshakes with Carolina, Shesterkin skated over to a group of Carolina fans, gave a nod and tapped the glass while the contingent of fans angrily yelled at the netminder who just shut down their team and handed them their first home loss of the postseason.

Now, there was a few Rangers fans a few rows behind those Hurricanes fans up against the glass, so Sheterkin could have been acknowledging some supporters before leaving the ice, or the Carolina fans could have been taunting him throughout the game, and Shesterkin was giving a playful farewell.

Shesterkin has shown he isn’t afraid to flex some trolling, as he waved goodbye to the Penguins as they were leaving the ice following a scrum at the end of a Blueshirts win late in the regular season. He could easily have been acknowledging the fans that traveled to support his Rangers in game seven, but let’s face it, the alternative sounds a lot more fun.
