According to recent reports, the Pacers are entering rebuild mode, and will make Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert available via trade.

So, as the Knicks get set to take on Indiana on Wednesday night, will they keep a close eye on any of their opponents trade chips?

According to SNY’s Ian Begley, New York already took a close look at Turner.

Per Begley’s report, the Knicks checked in on the Pacers’ 6-foot-11 center over the offseason, though talks between the two teams regarding a trade “didn’t progress very far.” With Turner now reportedly on the trading block, New York may look to get back in on the sweepstakes.

The Knicks don’t currently have a center capable of stretching the floor, but Turner would provide that asset, as he is shooting 39 percent from downtown on the season while averaging 4.6 3-point attempts per game. The 25-year-old showed his sharpshooting ability against the Knicks earlier in the season, drilling seven of 10 3-points attempts in a win on Nov. 3.

The Knicks would likely part ways with any of Mitchell Robinson, Nerlens Noel or Taj Gibson in a move for Turner, who is making $17.5 million per year and will become an unrestricted free agent in 2023.
