Vincent Trocheck is reportedly the next departure from Broadway, with Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reporting the Rangers are dealing Trocheck to the Utah Mammoth for defenseman Sean Durzi, forward Cole Beaudoin, and a 2027 third-round pick.
Mollie Walker of the New York Post was the first on the return.
Trocheck, 32, spent the last four years with the Blueshirts after signing as a free agent. He had 16 goals and 37 assists in 67 games last season, and 89 tallies with 164 helpers in 313 games overall with the Rangers.
He has three years at an AAV of $5,625,000 left on that deal he signed in 2022, and had a no-trade list that went from 12 teams to 10 for this coming season, which clearly Utah was not on.
Durzi, 27, had five goals, 22 assists, and a minus-12 rating in 60 games for Utah last year, and 30 goals with 114 assists and a career -30 rating over parts of five seasons with the Mammoth and Kings.
Beaudoin, 20, was the Mammoth’s first round pick (No. 24 overall) in 2024, and had 33 goals and 55 assists in 54 games, with a plus-40 rating, for Barrie of the OHL last year. He also had 10 goals and 19 assists in 15 games in Barrie’s run to the OHL Finals.
