Zach Wilson did something no other quarterback in NFL or college football history has ever done against the great Patrick Mahomes.
On Sunday night, Wilson finished with more completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns than Mahomes, while also throwing fewer interceptions, something no opposing quarterback has ever done against Mahomes since he graduated high school.
Per OptaSTATS, that includes 127 total starts by opposing quarterbacks.
Wilson completed 28 of 39 passing attempts for 245 yards, while throwing for two touchdowns and no interceptions, good for a quarterback rating of 105.2.
meanwhile, Mahomes struggled, completing 18 of 30 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
For Wilson, the only outcome that mattered was the final score, as Mahomes and the Chiefs still escaped with a 23-20 victory.
