Gladys Shipman was a civil rights leader and philanthropist, born on September 9, 1945, in Greensboro, NC. She passed away on September 13, 2021.

Ms. Shipman was the founder of Shipman Family Home Care, Inc., which has served the Triad and surrounding areas since 1987. She was also a dedicated supporter, sponsor, and donor to numerous small organizations and businesses in Greensboro and across North Carolina.
