Chrissy Teigen is reflecting on the loss of her and John Legend's son with an emotional video showing "baby kicks" despite no longer being pregnant.

The model and cookbook author, 35, shared the video with her 13.6 million Twitter followers on Wednesday ahead of surgery to treat endometriosis, a condition that affects women's fertility.

“Look at this," Teigen said.  “I’ll pretend it’s him saying hi - it never stops.”

“My little jack would have been born this week so I'm a bit off,” Teigen added. “I truly feel kicks in my belly, but it's not phantom. I have surgery for endometriosis tomorrow...but the period feeling this month is exactly like baby kicks. sigh.”

Teigen will undergo surgery for endometriosis on Thursday.

“Can anyone tell me their experience after endometriosis surgery?” Teigen asked. “What is the recovery-difficulty level? Like can I make soup after?”

Teigen and her husband, 42, announced that they were expecting their third child in August.

In September, Teigen was hospitalized for excessive bleeding, and later announced that she had miscarried her unborn son, who the couple had named “Jack.”

In January, Teigein shared a touch photo of her post-pregnancy body, saying “Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been. And I have no idea why i still have this bump, honestly. It’s frustrating. But I’m proud of where this entire journey took my body and mind in other ways. I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I never will be again.”

In October, John Legend dedicated his performance of the song “Never Break” at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards to his wife.

“This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much,” he said.
