This is the perfect gift if you want to support someone close to you who is struggling with weight loss or health issues, without being offensive.  These are a couple of the tools I use daily to keep myself on track after losing 150 pounds going to Medical Weight loss and Wellness.  The cookbook gives healthy keto options when you can’t find anything else and the Chocolate syrup and Pancake syrup is a GAME CHANGER when you need something sweet!  Best part is, you can find recipes for the syrups right in the cookbook!  You can swing by Medical weight loss and Wellness in Racine or Greenfield to grab yours, or just get one online off of their website.  And no, you don’t have go be a patient at Medical Weight loss and Wellness to purchase any of these items.

The YETI DRINK CAN HOLDER

alley mug

I discovered this little gem online when I got sick and tired of my drink always getting warm in the summer.  So, I ordered one and LOVE IT!  When I’m at the pool, lake or beach, or even just at a barbeque, I can pace myself without my can of seltzer turning into a disgusting slop of warmth. I opted for a pink one, but they come in all colors so pick your own!  They also have different sizes, so if you are a beer drinker, you can find one that fits your can too.

man plow

The MANPLOW

This is one of those products that truly changed my life! I saw my neighbor using one of these shovels a couple years ago, and I couldn’t believe how wide the shovel was.  He did three up and downs on his driveway and was DONE!  It’s perfect for those light dustings AND if you don’t own a snowblower, that’s ok, this shovel is still perfect because it works faster because of the size alone.  No more up and down the driveway 1000 times! WOOHOO!

BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE!

The WOMANPLOW

This is the amazing product that the founder of Manplow released in October for Breast Cancer Awareness!  As you can see, I own a Manplow AND a Womanplow! A portion of sales from the WOMANPLOW will be donated to support prevention and early detection. A great gift that also gives back!

DECODING BOYS—The Book

My mom sent me this book a couple months ago.  I grew up with two sisters and as a single mom with two boys I admit I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING.  So, this book was very helpful.  It is self-described as a book that can offers science, strategies, scripts and tips for getting it right.  Helping with things such as:

• recognizing the first signs of puberty and talking to our sons about the wide range of “normal” through the whole developmental process
• why teenagers make irrational decisions even though they look mature—and how to steer them toward better choices
• managing video game and screen time, including discussing the unrealistic and dangerous nature of pornography
• why boys need emotional and physical contact with parents—and how to give it in ways they’ll accept
• how to prepare boys to resist both old and new social pressures—drugs, alcohol, vaping, and sexting
• teaching consent and sensitivity in the #MeToo culture
