We hate to brag, but honestly, we've got pretty good taste in music and food and are ready to share it with the world via our new Grub With Greg exclusive station.
Listen to the Grub With Greg exclusive station
A foodie-inspired music experience, specially curated and hosted by Audacy's Greg Simms, this exclusive station is the place to be to celebrate your favorite grub & grooves.
In celebration of all our fellow foodie-music lovers, we're sharing five of our favorite songs from the Grub with Greg playlist and the ideal food/meal we'd pair it with. Check them out below!
"Margaritaville" - Jimmy Buffett
This song turns any day into Taco Tuesday (obviously). Served up with some authentic street tacos topped with fresh guac, pico, melted cheese and cilantro (or not) this match would have us soaking up paradise in no time! What more could we need? Oh, a margarita — and make it a double ;)
"Sugar, Sugar" - The Archies
Never have we ever craved sugar more than when we hear this jam from 1969. If we had it our way, we'd be near a carnival every time it plays. Pair this puppy up with some of those savory, sweet-tooth-satisfying "delicacies" you can only get at your local fair and you'll surely be floating on cotton-candy clouds. Carmel apples, funnel cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, deep-fried lollipops (is that a thing?). Whatever it is, just make sure it's loaded with sugar — we'll deal with the stomach ache later!
"These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" - Nancy Sinatra
This song paints a picture of the coolest cowgirl boots we've ever seen, and they're ready to walk us right in to some straight-up southern' cookin'! Give us all the corn bread, fried chicken, mashed 'pataters and some of those collard greens and the only thing other thing we'll bug you for is some sweet tea to wash it down. Oh, and some of grandma's pecan pie to top it all off!
"Red, Red Wine" - UB40
We can't be the only ones who feel kinda sophisticated when we hear this classic from 1983. The perfect soundtrack for a wine night with the finest of friends and reds, it's only appropriate to pair with an elaboarate charcuterie board. Give us all the finest cheeses, juicy grapes, nuts, crackers and don't forget the chocolate! Yum.
"Watermelon Sugar" - Harry Styles
OK, so the title gives it away! This song has us daydreaming of the best, seedless watermelon on a hot summer day. Whether it's served up solo, or in a giant fruit salad, we're here for all the Watermelon sugar we can get our hands on!
