Mask Up And Live Campaign Provides Face Masks To Chicago's West Side
A group of African American men are providing free protective masks on Chicago's West Side.
State Representative La Shawn Ford along with JAMS rapper TWISTA is in support of the campaign called Mask Up and Live.
The Black community has been disproportionately impacted by coronavirus, leading to a huge number of positive cases and deaths.
So far the campaign has been able to obtain ten thousand masks in less than five days.
Some of the protective gear was purchased and others donated.
Mask Up and Live wants to raise three million to five million dollars to keep the program going.
