Ozzy wants more than your ears for his new album, he would also like some of your skin. On the eve of Ozzy Osbourne’s first new LP in 10 years, Ordinary Man, the Prince of Darkness will be welcoming fans to listening parties in tattoo shops around the world. In addition to getting to hear the highly-anticipated album before anyone else, fans will also be able to choose from a new collection of Ozzy-inspired tattoos. Together that makes for the biggest “global tattoo sale and album listening event” in history.
Shops from Amsterdam to Atlanta, from Washington D.C. to Warsaw will be taking part in this event on February 20, with over 50 cities signed on for the worldwide event. Pick out new Ozzy ink and listen to the latest from the icon, all in one stop. You can find the full list of participating shops here and listed below.
If you happen to be in Hollywood, Osbourne will also be making an in-store appearance at the iconic Amoeba Records, signing copies of the new album. Ordinary Man will be available February 21 and includes collaborations with Slash, Elton John, Tom Morello, and Post Malone. His first effort since 2010’s Scream also features producer Andrew Wyatt on guitars, Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses on bass and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers on drums.
“It was a lot of fun to do though it’s a lot different from my other albums,” Ozzy said in a statement. “We recorded it quickly, which I haven’t done since the first Black Sabbath album. This made it a different process, which I actually enjoyed.”
Ordinary Man marks the return of Ozzy after a horrible hand of health issues kept the artist sidelined for much of 2019. Last month, Osbourne also revealed that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
Ozzy is scheduled to return to the road in May.
