A long-rumored 'Harry Potter' television series appears closer to becoming a reality, according to a report from Bloomberg that the series is in the works from Warner Bros. with creator JK Rowling set to join as a producer.
The 7-season series would stream on HBO Max and each season would be based on one of the seven books.
While we already have films based on each book, the TV series would reportedly explore new plot lines within each season. This would mark the first time that Rowling has signed off on a TV or film adaptation since 2011's final film in the series.
An event is planned for April 12th where Warner Bros. will explain their plans for the future of their HBO Max & Discovery+ streaming services. That is perhaps where we might learn more about this upcoming series.
