Competent Cowboys keep tank-train rolling

Dallas Cowboys lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-19 as they now currently hold the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft and fall to 2-7. The Cowboys appeared competent as first time NFL starter Garrett Gilbert played inspired football and appeared to create a QB controversy with Andy Dalton.

Defensively the Cowboys played with heart and desire seldom seen this season making it to appear that they may be buying into Mike Nolan's message and scheme.

Special teams got into the act with several big plays with a couple of key returns. Encouraging performances from Tony Pollard, Randy Gregory and others give Cowboys fans confidence that at least they won't be an embarrassment week after week.

Going into the bye week, before taking on the Vikings, the Cowboys must continue to build on the effort and momentum gained to show the fight they will need to end the season.
