Jerry Jones on Replacing Injured Players: 'We'll Address it from within more than likely'

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke for the first time since his team dropped their season opener to the Rams on Sunday night.

Here are some of the highlights from his appearance on Shan and RJ on 105.3 The Fan.

Jones on the season opening loss:

"It was disappointing. We had our chances. Everybody's aware of them. They made some big plays at the right time, which is how you win the game. Those plays go our way a little bit and we come out of there with a win. It's one ballgame. It doesn't diminish my enthusiasm for the year that we've got ahead of us."

On going for it on 4th and 3:

"That was a fifty-fifty decision. I've made those all of my life. I'm fine with that call. I'll make that call and go with that call. I want to be in those positions to be able to make that call."

Are you expecting a busy week at the Star with workouts and phone calls to address their injuries:

"No, I don't. I think we will likely address what we lineup against Atlanta ... we'll address it from within. From within our options, more than likely. That doesn't mean we won't bring a player on. But the kind of substance you're talking about probably do it from within, or the adjustment we'll be from within."
