DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is more than just a star on the court, he is a star off of it as well.
Following his wild game-winner over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, Doncic took some time to make the nights of a pair of Mavs fans who came all the way from Illinois to Fed Ex Forum in Memphis to watch their favorite player in action.
The off-balance three, which came as the clock expired and the Mavs down two, sent Dallas to a 114-113 win over the Grizzlies, who now trails the Mavs in the Western Conference Playoff standings by 2.5 games.
“Honestly, I don’t remember,” Doncic said. “I was kind of falling down. It’s kind of lucky, but we’ll take it.”
The win also put the Mavs back on track after losing three of their previous four games, and moves Dallas just one game back of the Portland Trailblazers for the sixth seed, and safety from the NBA's play in tournament.
