One of the most inspiring stories in the NFL continues to warm hearts.

Courtney Rivera, daughter to Washington head coach Ron Rivera, shared on Thursday that her father has been declared "cancer free!!!"

Rivera was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma in early August and courageously battled through chemotherapy to remain on the job, serving as a walking example of mental toughness to his players, even when at times he had to be helped off the field.

Rivera celebrated his final treatment in late October, ringing the bell at Inova Schar Cancer Institute, a conquering moment meant to signify he'd made it through the fire.

Rivera informed 106.7 The Fan earlier this month that he was scheduled to undergo one final PET scan at the end of January, which he hoped would find he was in the clear.

"I've got my fingers crossed and I'm saying my prayers," he said at the time.

Those prayers, thankfully, were answered.
