This week we're venturing back to 1992 for the Friday Night Flashback.
That was the year the Mall of America opened in Bloomington, Minnesota, line dancing was popular and Billy Ray Cyrus was the most famous member of his family. Oh, my achy breaky heart!
Bill Clinton and Al Gore were running for president and won, and Hurricane Andrew battered the Bahamas and Miami, Florida.
On TV, we said goodbye to Johnny Carson as he bowed out of Tonight Show hosting duties after 30 years. Also leaving the small screen: The Cosby Show, Golden Girls, Who's the Boss, and Growing Pains.
Top box office movies included Aladdin, Wayne's World, and My Cousin Vinny.
In technology, 2G mobile phones were introduced and we were all downloading Windows 3.1.
What music was popular that year? Tune in at 10pm on Friday and Amber Star will play some of the best 1992 music for you. And that most likely does NOT include Achy Breaky Heart.
Thanks to our sponsor, Funk's Pub in Fitchburg.
