The iconic UW Madison Memorial Union Terrace is set to open to the public on Wednesday, April 13th, university officials announced today.
“The Terrace is returning with dozens of events and activities, from live, free music to paddling equipment rentals,” said Mark Guthier, Wisconsin Union director and associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs at UW–Madison. “We look forward to seeing patrons enjoy the fun experiences for a lifetime that we’ve created for them at the Memorial Union Terrace.”
You might feel the spirits of students past when you hang out at the union. It's been serving students and other visitors for 90 years!
What bands have you seen at the Terrace? I've seen quite a few great shows, and I even remember some of them, including Pat McCurdy and Todd Snider years ago. Lots of folks remember the jam packed crowd for the Indigo Girls right as they were making it big.
