75-year-old "American Pie" singer, GRAMMY honoree, Songwriter Hall of Fame member, BBC Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and Library of Congress registrant Don McLean was honored early this week with his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Among those on hand to help celebrate were GRAMMY-winning parody songwriter "Weird Al" Yankovic, and McLean's 27-year-old girlfriend, model Paris Dylan.

Created by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 1961, McLean's star is the 2,700th to be added to the Walk of Fame and arrives in celebration of the 50th anniversary of his iconic song "American Pie," as well as his contribution to American music history.
Along with his guests "Weird Al," who famously parodied McLean on his Star Wars-heavy "The Saga Begins," and girlfriend Paris, the singing group Home Free also provided a musical interlude during the ceremony outside The Pie Hole Shop at 6300 Hollywood Blvd. with an a capella rendition of McLean's 1971 classic.
McLean and Dylan made their courtship public in 2016 and have been an item since. Earlier this year, McLean told PEOPLE, Paris "is the most wonderful person that I have ever known. I think of her when I sing a lot of my songs," adding, "I'm honored to have her as a girlfriend and a partner and we have no plans to ever break up. We are going to stay together and ride this pony as long as we can."

McLean had been married to ex-wife Patrisha Shnier from 1987 to 2016, sharing son Wyatt, and daughter Jackie together, the latter a musician herself with the indie rock duo Roan Yellowthorn. While she has spoken publicly about her childhood in the past, on her 2021 album Another Life Jackie addresses what she perceives as her and her mother's endurance of "psychological warfare."
Don told Rolling Stone in June, "I would never attack anybody. If I yelled at you for five minutes you’d think I yelled at you for an hour because it’s shocking." He added, "I would snap sometimes; I did have a temper." While neither party has alleged any physical abuse took place, Don also denies Jackie’s allegations of conditioning, insisting he "empowered" his children.
