It’s been over two decades since the debut of Lilith Fair, the traveling summer music festival that once took place in the late 90s. Co-founded by Sarah McLachlan, the multi-city tour featured singer-songwriters like Alanis Morissette, Tracy Chapman, Suzanne Vega, Natalie Merchant, and more.

"We looked around [at other tours] and thought, Wow, they’re just full of men”, McLachlan previously told Glamour Magazine , referring to the former music festival. "And yet there’s all this amazing music being made by women right now. So why is that not being represented?”

Sarah McLachlan

Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Her best-selling album to date is Surfacing, released in 1997.

Alanis Morissette

Alt-Rock Queen Alanis Morissette doubles as singer and actress. Her third studio album Jagged Little Pill won Album of The Year at the Grammys in 1996.

Tracy Chapman

Best known for her singles like "Fast Car" and "Baby Can I Hold You," Tracy Chapman is a multi-platinum and four-time Grammy–winning artist.

Suzanne Vega

Alternative-folk singer Suzanne Vega dominated the charts in the 1980s and 1990s with songs like "Luka" and "Caramel."

Natalie Merchant

Former lead vocalist of the 80s band 10,000 Maniacs, Natalie Merchant went solo in 1993, releasing her critically acclaimed debut album Tigerlily.
