I hope these soldiers are still in training.

A ridiculously hilarious video went viral of some U.S. Army soldiers at Fort Carson in Colorado being chased out of their Stryker by a cute little raccoon. In an accidentally awesome way, a great action director couldn’t have shot the scene any better.

We see the back of the imposing Stryker army vehicle, a helmeted soldier standing by with a bat, and suddenly loud shrieks from inside. The camera sweeps back, and out come running two screaming soldiers, their fuzzy invader in hot pursuit.

As Daily Mail notes, there’s no explanation of how the little critter got in there. They might be cute, but they can be mean little buggers, and fast too.

The laughter of the other soldiers almost drowns out the screeches as the raccoon faceplants on the ground but barely misses a step as it races off, no doubt way more frightened than the soldiers.

Commentators were rightly amused.

“Land of the free because of the brave,” one viewer joked.

Another offered, “This was actually a top-secret field test for the US's latest anti-personnel weapon against terrorists.”

“I’d be screaming,” another person sympathetically stated.

Raccoons are up there with cats and toddlers in the Viral Hall of Funny Fame. But this clip isn’t the usual raccoon rooting through suburban garbage cans chuckle. This is the U.S. Army we’re talking about!

We’re not sure who, where, or even if this footage should’ve been posted. We just celebrated Memorial Day though, so let’s be kind to these startled recruits.
