If a television show happens to have an episode fall on the same day as a major holiday, it’s almost a guarantee the show will do a special episode for that day.
Halloween is no different, as plenty of shows have delivered spooky episodes for the scary holiday over the years. Now, a new study has revealed each state’s favorite Halloween-themed TV episode, and the results may surprise some.

While many Halloween fans begin watching scary movies the moment the calendar hits October, it seems by the time Halloween rolls around, most are ready for a good laugh instead.
According to the recent study, conducted by USDish, most states went with the "Friends" episode "The One with the Halloween Party” as their top choice for Halloween.

Also making the list were the “Treehouse of Horror” episodes of "The Simpsons" and "The Holographic Excitation episode of "The Big Bang Theory." Of course, shows like "Stranger Thing" and "Criminal Minds" made the list as well.
According to Bro Bible, Texas was one of the 14 states picking "Friends" as their top Halloween choice.
To find these results, USDish looked at shows tagged with “Halloween” on IMDB that had over 1,500 votes, and had a rating of 7.5 or higher. This info was crossreferenced with Google Trends data from October 1 to October 30, 2020 to find which show had the most search in each state.
