Unlike sports, where there’s usually a pretty clear outcome, music doesn’t really have that many avenues to incorporate betting. Nevertheless, that won’t stop some from trying. Ahead of the 2022 GRAMMY Awards this weekend, the website GoldDerby released the odds on each nominee’s chance of winning in their respective category.

If you’re unfamiliar with how odds work, it’s pretty simple to understand. For example, Billie Eilish has 10/1 odds to win Album of the Year for her record Happier Than Ever. That means if you bet $1, you would win $10 for a total payout of $11. Olivia Rodrigo is the second favorite as her album Sour has 11/1 odds of winning, meaning you’ll win $11 on a $1 bet.

Now that we’ve done our homework, let’s take a look at some of the notable odds leading into the big weekend.

Elsewhere in the Album of the Year category, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga have the third best odds at 12/1 while Lil Nas X and H.E.R. are next up at 14/1. After it was announced that he was banned from performing at the GRAMMYs, Kanye West saw his chances of taking home Album of the Year tumble as he comes in with the worst odds at 22/1.

On the Record of the Year front, both Rodrigo and Eilish are favorites as they have 10/1 and 23/2 odds respectively. Silk Sonic comes in with the third best odds at 12/1.

The story remains the same for the two superstars as Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are the two favorites in the Song of the Year, Pop Solo, and Pop Vocal Album categories. Rodrigo is also the frontrunner in the New Artist category with 9/1 odds.

Moving into individual genres, Foo Fighters are favorites in the Rock Album category as they have 5/1 odds to take home the award for their album Medicine at Midnight. St. Vincent is at the top of the pack for the Alternative Music Album nominees as her record Daddy’s Home has 11/2 odds of winning.

Jon Batiste and H.E.R. are favorites in the Best R&B Album category with 11/2 and 6/1 odds respectively. It’s a tight race for Hip Hop fans as Kanye West, Tyler, The Creator, J. Cole, and Nas have 9/2, 5/1, 5/1, and 11/2 odds of winning Best Rap Album.

In Country, Chris Stapleton has the highest odds at 5/1 to take home Best Country Album. Selena Gomez is the favorite to take home the Best Latin Pop Album award for her record Revelación.
