NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has been sending out its Hurricane Hunter aircrafts to monitor Hurricane Sally as the Category 1 storm takes aim at the Gulf Coast.

The video above -- shot by Todd Richards of the NOAA -- shows the interior of the four-engine turboprob, nicknamed "Miss Piggy," as it flies over the Gulf of Mexico.

The National Hurricane Center expects Sally to remain a Category 1 hurricane, with top sustained winds of 80 mph (130 kph) when it makes landfall late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

It's still unclear exactly where Sally will strike, but it will likely be somewhere near the Mississippi-Alabama state line.
