Icon. Movie icon.

Sean Connery passed away on Saturday at the age of 90.

From James Bond to Indiana Jones’ father, the Scottish actor left an indelible mark on the film industry.

He originated the legendary role of agent 007 in the 1962 film “Dr. No” and went on to play the character in seven other films in the franchise including “From Russia with Love," "Goldfinger," "Thunderball," and "Diamonds are Forever.”

Connery’s career extended far beyond his time with Bond. His role in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1964 classic “Marnie” took his career to the next level. He also took home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Jim Malone in the 1987 mob film “The Untouchables.”

He went on to play Harrison Ford’s father in the third installment of the Indiana Jones series, "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” before expanding on his action resume in films like “The Hunt for Red October,” “The Rock” and “Entrapment.”

Here are 11 Sean Connery movies to watch and celebrate his expansive career on the big screen.

Dr. No (1962)

The James Bond film that started it all. From the opening montage, the quintessential theme music, and the introduction of the Bond girl via Ursula Andress, this is a classic and proves that while many may play the character, there is really only one true Bond and that’s Connery. Available on Amazon and iTunes.

Marnie (1964)

Stepping into the Alfred Hitchcock psychological thriller, Connery plays a wealthy widower who marries a troubled Tippi Hendren (Marnie). Is he a protector or a manipulator? Watch it on Amazon, Peacock Premium or Apple TV to find out.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

Who else could play Indy’s dad but Connery. Director Steven Spielberg has said he always envisioned Connery in the role, which the Scottish actor originally turned down as he’s only 12 years older than Harrison Ford. Thankfully, he relented. Available on Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV.

The Rock (1996)

Only Connery could utter the line, “Welcome to The Rock,” and have fans signing up to break into Alcatraz. Co-starring Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris, the over-the-top action film has all the thrills you’d expect from a Michael Bay flick, and a performance from Connery that keeps it from going completely off the rails. Watch it on Hulu, Amazon and Apple TV.

The Hunt for Red October (1990)

The first of the Jack Ryan thrillers, Connery plays a rogue Russian naval captain battling Alec Baldwin’s Ryan. The suspense and tension watching the two actors go head-to-head will have you sweating like you were trapped on a submarine. Watch it on Amazon and AppleTV.
