Brett Young and his wife, Taylor, took to social media to announce the birth of their second daughter, Rowan Marie Young, who arrived on July, 21. She joins older sister Presley, who the couple welcomed in October of 2019.

“I thought my heart was maxed out,” Brett wrote in a post with a photo of Rowan sleeping. “I usually don’t like to be wrong…… I was wrong. And I can’t wait to thank you properly for the opportunity to be your daddy. I already love you so much and I can’t wait to watch you and your sister become best friends.”
Upon the arrival of his first daughter, Brett released the song, “Lady,” which captured his emotions surrounding raising a baby girl along with the admiration he has for his wife. The song went on to be Young’s seventh consecutive #1 and the message proves to be timeless as he welcomes his second baby girl.
“FYI… the women in your life are super heroes and you’re the luckiest lady alive,” he shared. “Presley has been begging for you. Be prepared for me to mess everything up and your mom and sister to always be there to fix it. I love you. Welcome to the ‘Youngs’ -Daddy”
Brett and his wife revealed they were expecting in January, followed by Brett revealing Rowan’s gender during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in March.
“I need to get boy dogs or something,” Brett joked as he celebrated the announcement of a second baby girl.
Taylor also took to social media to welcome baby Rowan while also explaining the significance of her name to fans.
“Best early birthday present I could possibly ask for,” she wrote. We’ve been soaking in all of the loves and cuddles from both of our girls and living in a newborn baby bubble bliss. Our hearts could burst.”
She continued on to share a note from from Rowan’s 93-year-old great grandma that read, “The Gaithers settled in Virginia in 1606. They became close friends of Judge John Rowan. Terry’s grandfather named his son H. Rowan Gaither, using the Rowan in honor of the Judge XO -Gram.” Taylor went on to say, “Marie is both mine, my mom’s and her Aunt’s middle name.”
