Pre-"Nevermind" Nirvana Royalty Check Discovered at Easy Street Records

I'm sure most of us would be able to answer the question, "Where were you when you first heard 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'?" The song helped catapult Grunge into mainstream, MTV had the video in heavy rotation, back when they played music videos and it's been deemed as one of the greatest songs in the history of rock! 

Yesterday, Easy Street Records in West Seattle came across a royalty check made out to Kurt Cobain in March of 1991 for a whopping $26.57. It takes more than that to fill up my gas tank now!

Those early checks probably covered snacks for tours, I’m sure they saw a lot more zeros after Nevermind was released in September of that year.
