Last Friday we were fortunate enough to begin enjoying the new album Swansea from Seattle band Lemolo. On Saturday night the same weekend some of us were extra fortunate and got to see Lemolo perform live at the Swansea release party at St. Marks Cathedral in Seattle. I was there. Like the new album, the show was really incredible. Then on Sunday night I got to complete the all Lemolo weekend by having Lemolo's Meagan Grandall in studio for Locals Only.
We spent the first hour of the show talking about the process of making the album, what it's like to play in a cathedral, her recent tour with Noah Gundersen, and the new music video she just recorded with Chris Cunningham from Ravenna Woods. Of course we played plenty of songs from her new album and agreed that the song "Mirror" is both our favorite.
Meagan also talked about her love of local artist Sophia Duccini and announced her next show at The Croc with SISTERS on Friday 12/13. You should go to that show and get yourself a copy of th new Lemolo album Swansea.
