One of the first shows I knocked out when the quarantine got underway was Succession on HBO. So many great characters but I always felt sorry for cousin Greg. As it turns out, he has it going on!
Nicholas Braun was hanging with a friend in LA at the beginning of the pandemic and posted some lyrics in a social post in May and asked for the internet to come up with the music. It was pretty tongue and cheek and several followers took a shot at the music. The finished result is a song called "Antibodies" and it's fire!
The full story is, it started as a joke but an A&R guy from Atlantic Records reached out and suggested it be turned into a legit song. Producer Colton Brittain, who's worked with Dashboard Confessional and Papa Roach got envolved. The end result is a legit pop-punk emo anthem for 2020. On top of a cool song, proceeds are going to Cope and Partners In Health.
Now I can't wait for season 3 of Succession!
