A few months ago local band Skating Polly came by the station for Locals Only. They started talking amongst themselves about a band out of Tacoma called Alex Vile. I quickly pulled up some music by Alex Vile and was blown away. The first song I heard was "Kobayashi".
From that point on I don't know that a week has gone by without Alex Vile being played on Locals Only.
Armed with a handful of perfect singles it's easy to see how Alex Vile has been booking festivals and house shows around Seattle as well as club shows up and down the West Coast including the iconic Roxy Theater in LA.
All of this is why Alex Vile is our Locals Only Artist of the Month for February and why I can't wait to see what they do in 2024. As such you will be hearing their song Never Awake all month long on The End.
